NYCOB Enterprise Consortium runs a Youth in Biodiversity Business (YIBB) Programme launched in March 2012 with support from the Forestry Commission Ghana, Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources and Ministry of Environment Science Technology and Innovation (MESTI).
The Youth in Biodiversity
Business (YIBB) Programme facilitates youth employment through the development
of Ghana’s Biodiversity-based Industries to achieve sustainable green economic
growth, reduce biodiversity loss, address climate change and eradicate poverty.
The YIBB Programme incubates young biodiversity enterprises and provides
assistance to young people in developing skills and building capacity for
biodiversity business through its four thematic areas of Education, Advocacy, Offsetting
and Investments. The programme has influenced the growth of Ghana's biodiversity market place through the development of innovative flagship projects resulting from the programme.
